The Airplane Restaurant at City Of Colorado Springs Muni (COS)

We live in Colorado Springs. This is my home airport. Unfortunately I have to disagree with the other reviewers. The *only* time we ever go to this restaurant is when the kids ask for it. The old airplane is really cool, and they can sit in the cockpit and work the flight controls. There are also a lot of cool photos around the restaurant, and helicopter rotors, airplane tails, propellers, etc. But the food is not much to speak of. Everything I've had there (3 different times) was either too salty or too bland. Nothing I'd ever order a second time.

Flight Deck Grill at Vance Brand (LMO)

It's a cute food truck that's always parked in the parking lot. There's a few outdoor tables with umbrellas, and a view of the ramp. Across the runway the skydivers land. My wife and I went for a quick lunch; just an excuse to go fly. We just had a BLT and lemonade; not enough information to comment on the food. CAUTION: The skydivers land very close to the runway, and the locals continue to do pattern work even while they are jumping. Be careful when following another airplane in.
