Each Sunday from 1045 to 1400 Eastern they serve an excellent all-you-can eat brunch buffet for under $30/head prepared by Cordon Bleu level chefs. (Reservations strongly suggested. 912-635-2600 ...program your cellphone) If you love eating, fly to 09J and call the Jekyll Club. They will send a van to pick up your party and will drive you back to the airport afterward - no charge. (Tip the driver.) You can select from 4 different main entres, get a sampler plate of all four; or if breakfast is your thing, they have a staffed omelet station. The dessert table is impressive. A one mile walk east across the middle of the island brings you to a stroll on the Atlantic beach. A great getaway with exceptional food.

This is where the Rockefellers, Goodyears and J.P. Morgan et al used to come for vacations and bird and hog hunting in private. There is a tour of the homes and the restaurant still serves three meals a day plus lodging if you'd like. Visit the vacation spot of the rich and famous.
