Furnace Creek Inn Ranch Resort Reviews

Rating: 2 out of 5.
If we're talking just quality of food, the Wrangler Buffet at the Furnace Creek Ranch would be nothing to write home about, at least the breakfast we had. Standard fare, from cheeseless scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, and French toast in the buffet trays, plus omelets and pancakes made to order.

Of course when you take into account the surrounding scenery and the distance the food travels to get to Furnace Creek, the trip becomes worthwhile at least once. Golf course, jeep rentals, cycling, and camping are all attractions nearby.

Not sure how the previous guy walked from the airport to the buffet in just 10 minutes unless he cut through the golf course. We tried to do that, but were told in no uncertain terms that the cart path was to be used only by golfers. Plan 25 minutes to walk down the road, south past the front office, and around to the buffet.

We were able to get a courtesy ride back to the airport by inquiring with the host at the buffet.

Go in the winter when the temps are mild. The Sunday Brunch at the Furnace Creek Inn is outstanding, ($20.00). There is also a buffet at Furnace Creek Ranch, which is closer to the airport. The Inn has a shuttle or is a 2 mile walk. The Ranch is a 10 minute walk from the airport.
