Wings Grill Reviews

Rating: 4 out of 5.
Just wanted to update. Wings Grill is still going strong. Food, portions and service are still great and the whole family loved their lunch. Just watch that landing on runway 25. It's a downhill slope so you may tend to come in a little high.

Flew up with my wife and daughter for a burger and met up with some friends. Burger was good, But might have to get the Cobb salad next time after seeing my wife?s. Generous portions. Transient parking is up by the self serve fuel, which is pretty cheap compared to my home base. Good for breakfast also.

The food and service is always great. This is a place I'd go to even it wasn't on the airport.

Typical "American Family Restaurant" fare with a California twist, actually quite good! Easy tie-down and stroll to the door. They only accept cash so plan accordingly, there is an ATM in the foyer. Be aware this is also a popular breakfast and lunch place for the non-flying locals, so weekends can be crowded. Overall, the gold standard for small airport restaurants!

First of all, I found this place using fly2lunch.com...great website! Weather was awesome that day I flew in, so the pattern was full. Plenty of tie-down parking. There were lots of people at the restaurant and all the outside seating was taken...plenty inside though. Had a pretty good chili dog and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a fly-in place to eat. The pilot shop next door was nice also.

We flew in on a Saturday for lunch. Neither the airport or the restaurant were too busy. The food was good, the atmosphere (we ate outside) was very pleasant. The service was ok. The pilot shop next door was well stocked with pilot goodies.

Roger on the other reviews. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and this restaurant is frequented by many non-aviation locals. Although the service and food is very good, the time between ordering and receiving your food can be 30 minutes or more on weekends, particularly during lunch. This airport is great if you want to go for a walk around the field after you eat.

I'll second the positive reviews for this restaurant. Good food in a great setting - very aviation-oriented indoors, in a nice diner kind of way, and good views of airport activities if you eat outside. The food is always good and the prices are right. My wife won't let me comment on the waitresses. :-)

Great place to eat. Good food, decent prices, and some good looking waitresses! Can get quite busy on the weekends. Auburn is great to fly into because it's usually above the fog that socks in the valley.
