The Airplane Restaurant Reviews |
Rating: 2 out of 5.
We live in Colorado Springs. This is my home airport. Unfortunately I have to disagree with the other reviewers. The *only* time we ever go to this restaurant is when the kids ask for it. The old airplane is really cool, and they can sit in the cockpit and work the flight controls. There are also a lot of cool photos around the restaurant, and helicopter rotors, airplane tails, propellers, etc. But the food is not much to speak of. Everything I've had there (3 different times) was either too salty or too bland. Nothing I'd ever order a second time. Reviewed by Kenneth Johnson on 2025-09-20 |

I agree with John's review. A short walk from either Cutter or the jet center. You can sit either in the airplane or the "terminal" (building attached to the plane) and the servers call themselves flight attendants. I had the veggie burger, my husband had the steak sandwich. Both were good, the service was fast and prices reasonable. I would go there again. Reviewed by Terry Fiala on 2011-10-01 |

The Airplane Restaurant (http://www.theairplanerestaurant.com/) is a great stop in Colorado Springs. Depending on where you tie up, it's a short walk or short drive. I like to walk from Cutter Air. The food is always good at The Airplane Restaurant and the service is good too. The best part is the chance to eat inside the KC-97 on site! The main part of the restaurant has a lot of aircraft memorabilia and the tables are covered in sectional charts from around the world. Reviewed by John Manutes on 2011-03-06 |
