Gaston's White River Resort Reviews |
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Sunday brunch is their claim to fame. Everything you could possibly want is on the buffet line, from eggs benedict to trout and salmon. And they'll cook your omelet to order in front of you. Gaston's is a classic trout fishing resort which is another reason to fly in. Use caution, especially when the weather is hot, and don't fly out fully loaded due to the surrounding terrain and location. And for those who complained in other reviews, if you can afford to fly a plane in here, a $7 hamburger shouldn't be a deal-breaker. They have something unique that's worth paying slightly higher prices for. Reviewed by mike fagan on 2011-10-22 |

This is a fun grass airport and one of my most favorite destinations. The lunch and dinner have improved over the past year so I’ll give them a 3. The restaurant ambiance and Sunday Brunch (with a chocolate fountain!) are a definite 5, so I’ll give it an overall 4. Reviewed by Diana Richards on 2008-07-16 |

Gaston’s is a favorite spot for many but we feel that it is highly overrated. I would never consider eating here if it weren’t for the nice grass runway and the great setting along the White River. The atmosphere and the food are uninspired and the prices are outrageous. I’d recommend it as a place to fly for a hamburger, but not a place to spend any time or for dinner or Sunday brunch.
