Purple Pie Place at Custer County (CUT) Rating: 3 out of 5. 1hr walk from the airport, and there's no Uber/Lyft in the area, BUT.... that 1hr walk is on a nice dirt bike path. Lots of trees, greenery, ponds. I'd do it again, just for the "hike", but on a cooler day. If you want to rent a car for the day, there's a guy on the field with 5 cars. Visit Mount Rushmore or the local caves. Plenty of grass and picnic tables at the airport for pitching a tent.       Reviewed by Kenneth Johnson on 2026-06-08

Crab Shack at Bay Bridge (W29) Rating: 4 out of 5. Small with outdoor seating, but the seafood is great. Note: Park on the north ramp of the airport and use the pedestrian gate--The Crab Shack is right across the street.       Reviewed by Vince Massimini on 2026-06-04
